I recommend these two things. Actually, more but we will focus on these two.
1. Staying busy.
This is pretty self-explanatory, but now with our need to stay home for the safety of our peers, it has become ever more important to find activities to occupy our time. Doom scrolling twitter and facebook for the latest chaotic news is a recipe for increased sadness. I recommend cutting back on screen time, and focusing on the relationships you have with the individuals in your bubble. If you must play on your electronics, try something a little more productive with your time. Hint...Start a blog. : )
2. Meditate
Practice. Practice. Practice. Utilize different avenues to help you achieve relaxation and (more) inner calmness. Youtube videos, podcasts, old fashioned prayer books, daily mantras, self check ins, and of course, MINDFULNESS. It's hard to remain grounded in the present when the present is...what we are dealing with now. Continued PRACTICE at this has worked for me, and I recommend at least trying it out to see if it is something that is beneficial for you. You will not be levitating yourself in circles off the ground at first. Stick with it. Stick with it. Stick with it.
